Scarperia e San Piero (FI) – The charm of Stuttgart’s cars has returned to the protagonist at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello with the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse, which from September 24 to 26 brought the fifth round of the 2026 season on the Tuscan track.
Three days dedicated to Porsche motorsport, in a formula capable of bringing together drivers with different levels of experience and road and competition cars. The Porsche Sports Cup Suisse represents in fact a meeting point between the sporting activity dedicated to the brand’s customers and the most professional single-brand categories, offering the possibility of progressively approaching the world of racing.
The Mugello, with its continuous changes in slope, fast curves and technically demanding sections, once again offered an ideal scenario to enhance the characteristics of the cars of the House of Stuttgart. A circuit in which not only pure speed counts, but also the ability to interpret trajectories, rhythm changes and differences in height.
And it is precisely by observing the cars along the track that one of the most fascinating aspects of an appointment like this emerges. The Porsches disappear behind a bump to reappear a few moments later, face the curbs of the Tuscan circuit in sequence and often find themselves gathered in close groups, giving rise to duels in which a slightly different trajectory is enough to completely change a race situation.
There was no lack of spectacular moments, off-piste excursions and wheel-to-wheel comparisons, alternating with images in which the circuit and the landscape of Mugello become an integral part of the show. A succession of situations that returns the essence of motorsport: speed, precision, competition, but also that unpredictability that makes each step different from the previous one.
The presence of Porsches from past generations is also particularly suggestive. Seeing historic cars face the same asphalt as the most modern racing cars creates an immediate link between different eras of the brand’s sports history and reminds us of how deep the relationship between Porsche and competitions is.
It is precisely this variety that is one of the characteristic elements of the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse: an environment in which the passion for the brand is accompanied by the actual competition. The series is in fact among the sports activities dedicated to Porsche customers and the single-brand championships intended for professional drivers.
That of Mugello was the fifth of the six appointments scheduled by the 2026 calendar, after Portimão, Monza, Imola and Red Bull Ring. The season will end at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from October 22 to 24.
